Being a travel agent has been awesome! I was lucky enough to join other travel professionals at the 2026 Land Forum.
We stayed at the Hard Rock Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Riviera Maya is part of the Caribbeans coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. To get this area you will land at Cancun’s Airport and take transportation to the resort, which was about an hour. This drive includes the famous Cancun “Hotel Zone”, which is not a scenic route. Hotels sit off the road, there appears to be no road laws (lol), and the view is strip malls, roadside taco stands (which I am guessing are delicious). Resort entrances are clearly marked, if you decided to drive yourself.
When arriving at the resort we were greeted by gorgeous flora and fauna. The staff was so friendly and helpful the entire stay. I was upgraded to a Sky Terrace room which was a two-story room, that included a large bathroom, small patio and the second floor was a beautiful private terrace with a tub and lounge chairs. Meeting at the conference center the resort has a bar and even people doing quick 5-minute massages (felt amazing after traveling all day).

This resort is all-inclusive (down to the slippers for the room). This was my first time in this resort but being that I have stayed at other all-inclusive resorts, the food here tracked with most resorts. Not terrible, not great. For our group, we decided the buffet, French restaurant and Italian restaurants were the best food options. It is not an adult only resort, however, does have an adult only side which included bars, pools and restaurants. If you are looking for adult only, I would also book my room there. This will however put you further from things like the buffet and other restaurants. The resort does not have traditional beaches. They have rock formations that include netting to keep the sargassum away from the resort. These rocks, called natural coves, also keep rough water away. Using these has created what I would consider large tide pools. There are several large areas that include sand and loungers, that definitely give the “day at the beach” feel. I had some time to enjoy the Eden pool. This is an adult only pool with swim up bar, tons of loungers and music.

Traveling with a family? There is a trampoline park, bowling, laser tag, arcade, climbing wall, baseball simulator and a water park, just to name a few! Also, the conference center was huge! They were able to accommodate 115 travel advisors and numerous suppliers! They were able to supply multiple rooms and a large conference area all at once, which allowed us to easily move about when going to different classes or going to speak to suppliers without having to break everything down and put back up all week long.

If you or someone you know is looking for a family friendly vacation, area for a conference, or quick friends’ getaway, hit me up and let’s get you booked!
